June 13th 2012 - Alarm #43 - 2602 Cypress Lane East Brunswick - At 07:55 hrs the Old Bridge Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a possible structure fire on Cypress Lane. Prior to the arrival of Safety Officer Hoover, dispatch advised they are receiving multiple calls for fire through the roof. At this time a township general alarm was activated bringing in the Brookview Volunteer Fire Co. and East Brunswick Independent Fire Co. along with additional mutual aid companies. All crews were met with heavy fire and command quickly ordered an exterior only attack of the fire. Crews had the fire under control in a little over an hour. A total of 4 townhouses were destroyed.
