February 12th - Alarm # 14 - 230 Fresh Ponds Road, South Brunswick Township.  At approximately 20:00 hours we were requested to assist Monmouth Junction Fire Department at the scene of a structure fire.  Chief Duffy, along with Chief Spahr from Monmouth Junction arrived on scene to find a well involved dwelling located 200 feet off of the road.  Engine 902 and Monmouth Junction Engine 201 arrived simultaneously, each locating a hydrant and dropping supply lines.  The crew from 902 immediately advanced 250 feet of 3" hose and placed in service a Blitz-fire monitor while 201's crew went to work with a 2 1/2" handline.  Engine 901's crew assisted on scene, helping with hydrant operations after discovering that the first hydrant hit was frozen and inoperable.  With the help of units from North and South Brunswick a water supply was eventually established for 902 and the majority of the fire was brought under control within an hour.  In addition to firefighters from Monmouth Junction and Brookview crews from Kendall Park and North Brunswick operated on the scene.  For pictures of the scene the following day click here:  http://www.mycentraljersey.com/apps/pbcs.dll/gallery?Avis=CN&Dato=20100213&Kategori=NEWS0108&Lopenr=2130805&Ref=PH
